Description

This course will emphasize the development of both expository and argumentative essays.  A review of essential grammar rules will be emphasized throughout the semester.  Students will learn research skills, including methods of documentation, the use of the library, and Internet resources.

This course is equivalent to ENG101 and ENG110.


Goals and Objectives
  • To improve communication skills through the process of writing about various topics
  • To acquire a better understanding of the reading and writing process
  • To demonstrate comprehension in essay organization, thesis development and writing skills
  • To obtain research skills for the proper writing of a research paper
