Description
Students will gain factual information on the history, processes and effects of different types of media including the interactive media of computers, information technology and telephony as well as the mass media of newspapers, magazines, books, radio and television. Current events related to these fields will also be discussed.

Goals and Objectives

As a result of completing this course students will be able to:

  • Understand concepts and issues that relate to mass communication
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and writing skills
  • Evaluate academic sources
  • Participate in the online group communication process
