Description

This is an introductory course designed to provide students with a basic orientation to computer hardware and to teach the implementation of software applications in telecommunications. Students will use various software packages to create documents, spreadsheets, graphs, and databases and will use the knowledge gained to solve problems and transfer information via electronic media.

There are TWO version of this class available: Computer Applications for Microsoft Office 2003 (only available if you currently own 2003 software - not offered by bookstore) and Computer Applications for Microsoft Office 2007 (available in bookstore).  If you are taking the Microsoft Office 2007 course, there are two options when ordering the book – one using the VISTA Operating system, and one using the WINDOWS XP Operating system.  We will help you decide which book to order, but the class you will register for will be the same.  Please note however, the Professional version of the software is needed since it comes with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point AND Access in either course.
