AIT383 Emerging Wireless Technologies

Description
This course covers emerging wireless technologies. These include Cellular / Mobility, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and Global Positioning System (GPS). Additional topics include antennas, propagation, and signal encoding techniques. Also considered are wireless security models, threats and solutions.
Goals and Objectives
- To develop an understanding of basic wireless communications
- To learn the principles underlying current digital communications
- To learn about radio waves, transmission lines, and antennas
- To study current wireless protocols and technology
- To study emerging wireless protocols and technology
