This certificate offered by Pace University addresses the needs of the experienced student who has already completed his/her associate's level education and who wants to acquire knowledge of telecom's emerging technologies through an online learning format.

Advanced Certificate In Emerging Telecommunications Technology
Students are eligible to take the capstone once they have fulfilled ALL of the following:
To be accepted into this degree program:
- A student must have at least 3 years of full-time experience or the equivalent.
- A student must have successfully earned at least 64 college credits with a minimum QPA of 2.5 from a regionally accredited institution or a combination of 64 credits obtained through Pace Experiential Learning credits, CLEP, and college credits. There will be a review of the student's transcript to ensure no duplication of credit.
- A student who has earned the A.A. or A.S. will be eligible to apply all credits toward the prerequisite 64 credits. All others will have transcripts reviewed to ensure successful completion of a minimum of 32 Liberal Arts and Sciences credits. To be eligible to apply credits earned in an AAS degree, a student must complete the minimum Liberal Arts requirement. For example, to complete this requirement the Next Step students will take a Liberal Arts elective during their first term at Pace University.
- A student must have credit for at least one credit-bearing college-level writing course or demonstration of writing ability by examination provided by Pace University.
- A student must complete Technical Math ( MAT 125 or its equivalent) and Computer Applications ( AIT 107 or its equivalent).
- A student must have two credit bearing college level telecommunication courses ( AIT 170: Telecommunications I or AIT 109: Broadband Essentials and AIT 235: Telecommunications II or AIT233: Wireless LANs or equivalents) and one credit bearing electronics course ( AIT 111: AC/DC Electrical Circuits or equivalent).
- Students are required to complete OSO: Online Student Orientation at Pace prior to the first term.
Upon successful completion of the five required certificate courses with Pace University, you must complete and submit an Application for Certificate along with the $35 processing fee. Also, depending on the composition of the credits you are transferring in, you may be required to take some foundation courses before registering for any courses specific to a certificate.
Like all Bachelors degree applicants, individuals interested in the certificate must submit all official prior high school and college transcripts and enter with a minimum QPA of 2.5. Students who meet the entry qualifications can expect to complete the certificate program in about one to one and a half years, on a part time basis.
