Proctor
Application Process
As a
student, it is your responsibility to select an individual who
will be available to proctor your exams based on a set of guidelines. Use these
guidelines to either:
Identify
a New Proctor
You will
need to submit an application online and have a print copy
of the application notarized and sent to Pace for review and
approval of your selection.
To help
guide you through the process, please follow these steps.
| 1. |
Review
the Proctor Guidelines. |
| 2. |
Review
and print the Proctor
Requirements and the Proctor Examination
Process. |
| 3. |
Print out the sample copy of the
Proctor Application Information to
assist you in obtaining the necessary information you
will need to include on the actual online proctor
application. |
| 4. |
Select
a Proctor. Make sure to provide him or her with any
information related to general responsibilities, as well
as any specific course-related responsibilities. |
| 5. |
Access the Proctor Application
System to add your proctor
and submit an Online Proctor Application Form. Once you
submit your proctor's information, you will be
instructed to print the form. |
| 6. |
When you submit your proctor's information, the application is
submitted online. In addition, any new proctor must have
the completed Online Proctor Application Form notarized and sent to Pace University. If the proctor is from an
official testing service or learning/tutoring center, the
form does not need to be notorized, only signed and
returned to Pace. |
| 7. |
You will receive
email notification upon approval of your proctor. |
| 8. |
Pace
will then send your proctor a copy of the Proctor Guidelines and
Proctored Exam Information for the class(es) you are
taking. |
| 9. |
You are responsible
for any fees charged by the Proctor. |
Select
an Existing Proctor
You will
still go through many of the same steps outlined above. However,
you will access our database of proctors and pick from a list in
your company or area.
To help
guide you through the process, please follow these steps.
| 1. |
Review
the Proctor Guidelines. |
| 2. |
Access
the
Proctor Application System to search for
existing proctors that work or
live in your area. |
| 3. |
Select a proctor from
the list and contact that person to make sure he or she is
available to proctor for another student. |
| 4. |
If
the person agrees to serve as your
proctor, select Add a New Proctor from the Proctor
Application System. Type in the proctor's last name and state to locate him or her and select as your proctor. Print
out a copy of the completed Online Proctor Application. |
| 5. |
This form must be
signed and returned to Pace University. Since your
proctor has already been approved by Pace, the form does
not need to be notarized. |
| 6. |
You will receive
email notification upon approval of your proctor. |
| 7. |
Pace
will then send your proctor a copy of the Proctor Guidelines and
Proctored Exam Information for the class(es) you are
taking. |
| 8. |
You are responsible
for any fees charged by the Proctor. |
Once your
proctor has been approved, this person will remain your proctor
for the duration of the program. If you need to change proctors, either permanently
or temporarily, you can do this easily. You can also set up multiple proctors which is a good idea for when your primary proctor is unavailable.
At the
beginning of each semester, information on any proctored
examinations will be posted under the COURSE INFORMATION button.
This will include what exams need to be proctored,
when they will occur during the semester and how long you will
have to complete them. Review these carefully with your proctor
to make sure you both understand what is expected, and that your
proctor is available during the exam periods.
The Notarized Proctor Application for Early Fall 2013 is
due no later than 09/20/2013.
The Notarized Proctor Application for Late Fall 2013
is due no later than 10/11/2013.
Strongly recommended: You should fax the signed/notarized
application in order
to guarantee that the notarized application is received
by the specified due date. You should also retain a copy of the completed form for your records.
