Alternative Student Loans
Private student loans provide additional funding for a student that has not yet been matriculated into the
NACTEL program. Depending on the lender, private loan (alternative loan) terms can vary considerably based
on your credit history.
Payment and interest can be deferred until 6 months after graduation,
or as long as the student is enrolled at least halftime.
Please note that INTEREST WILL ACCRUE DURING THIS DEFERMENT PERIOD AND IS ADDED TO THE PRINCIPAL,
therefore you may wish to make interest payments while you are attending school.
