AIT383 Emerging Wireless Technologies

Description
This course covers emerging wireless technologies. These include Cellular / Mobility and 802.11 systems. Additional topics include antennas, propagation, and signal encoding techniques. Also considered are wireless security models, satellite systems and recent advances in wireless technology.

Goals and Objectives
  • To develop an understanding of basic wireless communications
  • To learn the principles underlying current digital communications
  • To learn about radio waves, transmission lines, and antennas
  • To study current wireless protocols and technology
  • To study emerging wireless protocols and technology
