Description

 This course is an introduction to emerging mobile technology.  This includes Cellular/Mobility, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Global Positioning System (GPS),  etc.  Additional topics include antennas, propagation, and signal encoding techniques.  Also considered are wireless security models, threats and solutions.


Goals and Objectives
  • To develop an understanding of emerging mobile technology
  • To learn the principles underlying current digital communications
  • To learn about radio waves, transmission lines, and antennas
  • To study current wireless protocols and technology
  • To study emerging wireless protocols and technology
