Description
The Professional Communications course allows students to gain a thorough understanding of theories related to communication in the workplace and through this understanding, to improve communication skills in the workplace.  The course focuses on theories of communication, the influence of new technologies in the work place and incorporates practical exercises to build effective communication. 

Goals and Objectives

As a result of completing this course students will be able to:

  • Effectively communicate in an online environment
  • Understand communication theories related to the workplace
  • Participate in an online group
  • Evaluate online sources
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and writing skills
  • Develop, organize and deliver professional presentations
