About
Pace University
Pace University is a fully accredited private
university located in New York State that offers a wide range
of academic and professional programs at both the graduate and
undergraduate levels. The University was founded in 1906 in
Manhattan as Pace Institute, and had 10 students enrolled in
its first year. Today, Pace has extended its reach beyond geographic
boundaries with its online learning programs, boasts nearly
15,000 students and is comprised of six colleges and schools:
the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, the Lubin School of
Business, the School of Computer Science and Information Systems,
the School of Law, the School of Education and the Lienhard
School of Nursing.
Pace is chartered by the Regents of New
York State and is accredited by
the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
The programs of the Lienhard School of Nursing are accredited
by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the
School of Law by the American Bar Association and the American
Association of Law Schools, and the doctor of psychology degree
by the American Psychological Association. The Chemistry Departments
in New York City and Pleasantville are accredited by the American
Chemical Society. The baccalaureate program in Computer Science
is accredited by the Computer Sciences Accreditation Board.
The Lubin School of Business is accredited by the American Assembly
of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
