Assessments

Assessments Overview

Following is a synopsis of the assessments you are required to take. You can take these immediately after you've submitted your application, or you can access them at a later time. But, they must be taken before you can register for any courses.

Prior Learning Survey
This tells your advisor what prior learning you've had including high school and college as well as any internal training courses that might impact what classes you need to take.

Math Skills Readiness
The Pace University/NACTEL programs require several math-based courses. So, it is important for your Advisor to get a better understanding of your math skill. Results will help to determine which math course you'll need as a starting point. (Please note, you must score 50 or higher on this assessment to be accepted into the program.)

The Prior Learning Survey is relatively quick, and will probably take less than 15 minutes to complete. The Math Skills Readiness, which can take between 30-60 minutes to complete, is broken into two parts that you must take in the same sitting.

IMPORTANT: You can access each assessment only once. So, be sure you are ready before entering, and be sure to complete the entire assessment before exiting. You will not be able to return later. If you do get locked out of an assessment, contact Nactel Support.
